When it comes to higher performance, our new generation L2800 and L3400 tractors really deliver.
Transmission options. We offer you a choice of transmissions. Select either a factory designed Kubota original HST that provides a smooth, clutchless, single-pedal control of both the tractor's speed and forward/reverse directions, or opt for our highly dependable and versatile gear-drive transmission. Either way, you're sure of getting the job done with less effort.
HST Transmission.
3-range shift/cruise control for optimal speed selection. No longer using an H-type shifting pattern, the new I-type pattern enables easy range shifting from low to medium to high. THe shift is also conveniently on the left side of the operator's seat. For an easy way to keep your working speed constant regardless of the terrain, simply set the infinite, mechanical cruise control lever on either the L2800 or L3400 4WD HST models to your desired speed -- and go. Changing your speed is as simple as operating a single lever.
Gear-Drive Transmission.
Powerful and versatile means getting the job done faster. You'll finish even the big jobs quicker with more horsepower and a mechanical shuttle transmission. For easier front-loader operation, the mechanical shuttle shift has a forward/reverse in the low and reverse ranges. Moreover, the transmission offers 8 forward and 4 reverse speeds (8F/4R), enabling you to select the perfect speed for higher productivity.
Radiator reserve tank/oil cooler. These two features provide an extra measure of protection for our HST models, especially on extremely hot days. (On HST models only.)
Wet-disc brakes. Responsive and smooth, our long-life wet-disc brakes are immersed in oil, and require only the slightest foot pressure to activate.
Large fuel tank. An ample 9 gallon fuel tank lets you fill up with more fuel so you can operate longer.
Smooth power steering. To reduce fatigue, both 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive come equipped with smooth, easy-turn, integral power steering.
Bevel gear 4-wheel drive. A superior feature that delivers an extremely tight turning radius with full power transfer to the wheels at every steering angle.
More powerful engines to let you handle the toughest projects. To elevate your performance to a new level, we increased the horsepower on both of our world-renowned E-TVCS diesel engines. THe L2800 gear-drive model puts out an impressive 24 PTO horsepower (HST model 22.5 PTO horsepower), while the L3400 gear-drive model provides a vigorous 29 PTO horsepower (HST model 27.5 PTO horsepower).

A perfect balance of form and function. When you're more comfortable, you're more productive. With this in mind, Kubota designed the new generation Kubota L2800 and L3400 standard tractors to be the perfect balance of form and function. The slanted hood and enclosed muffler with low-exit exhaust gives them a sleek and modern look, and the design provides improved visibility as well. Other practical features include a spacious semi-flat deck and conveniently located control levers.
Full-open hood and slide-out grill. Whether simple maintenance or a more involved repair, a newly designed, one piece, full opening hood exposes most engine components, making it easier to do either. Removing the front grill is fast, too. Simply slide it out.
Spacious semi-flat deck. To provide maximum comfort, the operator's platform has been redesigned. Compared to previous models, the platform space has been increased by a generous 12%. Its semi-flat design also makes getting on and off the L2800 or L3400 easier.
Conveniently located PTO lever. To further enhance access and entry/exit, the PTO lever is located on the right side of the operator's seat (HST model), or to the right side of the deck center cover (gear-drive model).
Roll-Over Protective Structure (ROPS). For maximum protection, both models come with ROPS as standard features. A foldable ROPS is also available as a factory option.
Top link holder. A feature that keeps your top link in place when not in use.
Cup/mug holder. A new design securely holds either a cup or a mug.
3-point hitch. The large capacity hydraulic pump and cylinder provide powerful lifting capacity, allowing you to use a wider range of implements.
Choice of tires.
Tires designed especially for specific jobs enable the L2800 and L3400 to perform even better. Select from AG, Industrial, and Turf.
Live continuous-running PTO (Transmission driven PTO on L2800 gear-drive model). For easier operation, the L2800/L3400 HST models and the L3400 gear-drive model come with a live, continuous-running, rear PTO -- that continues to run even when the tractor is stopped. To protect the transmission, L2800/L3400 HST models also have an overrunning clutch on the PTO shaft. Moreover, a stationary PTO that enables you to use numerous implements, such as pumps, can be activated by simply flipping up the driver's seat.
