Kubota Diesel Tractors
M108X

Coming: Spring, 2007:
More powerful. Cleaner running. Kubota has topped their top-of-the-line!
Built for the toughest agricultural jobs, this top-of-the-line turbocharged tractor boasts a 108 horsepower, cleaner-running engine and Intelli-Shift transmission.
For handling the toughest applications, no Kubota is as well suited as the Kubota M108X Diesel Tractor. Equipped with a more powerful 108 horsepower engine and innovative turbo technology, the M108X delivers incredible output, enabling it to pull heavy loads with ease. In addition to its impressive power, the M108X now utilizes a Common Rail System and a Cooled EGR System to conserve fuel, operate quieter and run cleaner. In fact, the M108X now meets the EPA's toughest emissions standards, making this top-of-the-line tractor an all-around top performer.
New Engine
The engine of the M108X has been redesigned and re-engineered. Of course, it boasts the same durability and quality you've come to expect from Kubota E-CDIS diesel engines. But, this new turbocharged engine is now cleaner than ever before and offers higher torque and incredible pulling power. The CRS (Common Rail System) and Cooled EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) System reduce emissions, helping with compliance to U.S. EPA Tier III emissions regulations. Kubota has increased horsepower to 108 and PTO power to 93 HP.
 CRS (Common Rail System)
Typically found in automobiles to help reduce emissions and decrease fuel consumption, CRS has been implemented on Kubota's M108X engine to accomplish the same results. The CRS electronically controls the timing and amount of fuel injection. By delivering high-pressure injections in stages, rather than all at once, an optimal combustion rate is achieved, offering greater efficiency in the cylinder. This equates into less combustion noise, commonly known as "diesel knocks", better fuel efficiency and cleaner emissions. By controlling the amount of fuel injection, the CRS also services to provide greater torque so that operations in the mid to high revolution range, such as baling, can be performed more smoothly.
Cooled EGR System
Kubota's Cooled EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) System aims at the same end as the CRS, to reduce noxious emissions. Specifically, the Cooled EGR System reduces smog-producing nitrogen oxides by lowering the combustion temperature. It accomplishes this by diverting exhaust gas through a cooler and then returning it to the combustion chambers, where the cooled gases minimize temperatures and hamper nitrogen oxide formation.
Intelli-Shift Transmission
(8-Speed Dual Range Powershift With Auto-Mode)
With so many intelligent, fatigue-reducing transmission features to keep you rolling, you'll increase productivity by decreasing downtime. A load and terrain sensing feature, versatile 16F/16R gears, convenient single-lever operation, and more, enable you to concentrate on the job ahead.

Intelli-Shift Transmission
For maximum versatility, the 16F/16R Intelli-Shift transmission features an 8=-speed powershift with 2-speed, hi/low range for 16 gears in each of forward and reverse (24F/24R with the optional cassette-type creep speed kit). A convenient single lever operates both the powershift and range shift. Upshift and downshift are also at the touch of a button. A sophisticated microprocessor enables smooth, fatigue-free powershifting, and generous gear overlap means less changing of gears during operation.
Auto-Mode
Kubota's new Auto-Mode is a must-have feature that enables the M108X to automatically shift in a maximum range of 4 gears (the preset gear and 3 up or downshifts) to maximize performance when your load or terrain changes. In Travel mode, the tractor will adjust gearing depending on road conditions and amount of acceleration; uphill and downhill. The transmission automatically downshifts 3 gears and will upshift again once in motion. In Field mode, to better accommodate turning, a downshift of 2 gears occurs once the three-point hitch has been raised. The Sensitivity dial lets you achieve your desired shift timing, providing you with quick and precise power response.
Ergonomic
No searching. No fumbling. Kubota's new, ergonomically designed control console puts all the vital control levers, switches, and buttons of the M108X tractor within easy reach of your right arm. Utilizing a smart, clean layout and a right-hand-side location for the panel makes for amazingly efficient operation.
Control Console
User-friendly and ergonomically correct, the newly designed control console concentrates all operating controls and switches to your right-hand side, putting everything you need within easy reach. Everything is easy to see, easy to reach, and easy to use -- making you more productive.
Digital LCD Readout
Another new feature, the digital LCD readout, gives you precise control of your fieldwork, such as spraying, by indicating travel speed and PTO rpm. It's conveniently located to your right-hand side.
Plush Comfort
To ensure superior comfort, Kubota designers put in an all-out effort when creating the M-Series cab. Features include operating controls with armrest, newly designed AC, wide unobstructed view, corner-post exhaust pipe, deluxe air-ride seat, and more.
Standard Remote Control Valves and Optional Flow Control Valve
Two remote valves come standard on the SCD/Self-Canceling Detent and FD/Floating Detent valve. The optional flow control valve also provides simultaneous operation of the 3-point hitch and a remote valve, or two remote valves. Adjustment of hydraulic flow from 0 to maximum is also possible. The maximum installation is 4 valves (3 valves with a flow control valve).
Hydraulic System
For smooth implement handling and for extra speed of front loader and rear implement operations, the M108X tractor comes equipped with gear-type hydraulic pumps. The pumps churn out a total capacity of 18.1 gpm for the 3-point hitch and remote valves. For higher efficiency, a regulator valve and low pressure oil cooler keep hydraulic temperature low to maintain optimum oil temperature.
Front Loader
You'll experience the joy of Kubota's simplified, performance-matched front loader operation from the first time you use it -- a single-lever joystick controls it all. Other features include a mechanical, self-leveling linkage taht maintains the bucket level automatically; a large lift capacity; and a heavy-duty GM system for faster bucket operation.
Single-Lever Control
Fatigue reducing and very efficient, Kubota's single-lever joystick control greatly simplifies front loader operation so you can concentrate more on the work ahead. The Series Circuit makes simultaneous boom and bucket operation possible, while the Regenerative Bucket Dump Circuit enables quick dumping for efficient operation with quick cycle times.
Quick Attach / Detach Loader
Attaching and detaching the front loader doesn't get any easier, thanks to boom stands and two mounting pins. With easy on and easy off, and without tools, this feature is sure to contribute to your overall operating efficiency.
Skid Steer-type Quick Hitch
A standard feature on the LA1301S-1 loader, the quick hitch will let you quickly attach and detach a variety of Skid Steer-type attachments. Kubota original bucket, pallet fork, and bale spear are available.
