Dynamic balance.
Extraordinary performance, poise, and transfer of power.
Long considered the leader in high-performance tractors, Kubota once again delivers unparalleled durability and responsiveness with the M-Series.
Powered by Kubota's environmentally friendly E-TVCS engines, these tractors feature Kubota's legendary quality. The synchro-shuttle transmission and hydraulic PTO enhance productivity, while the powerful hydraulic system provides quick and responsive flow. Reduced static weight, as well as a superbly balanced chassis, allow the M-Series to maneuver with exceptional agility. Harmful soil compaction has been significantly reduced, as well. A lower center of gravity allows the M-Series to pull with incredible power, confidence, and tenacity. This unique combination of strength and agility is called dynamic balance. It's the superior design that makes these tractors perfect for many applications such as hay baling and grass cutting, as well as working with cattle, dairy, orchard and vegetable applications.
The M8200DTN-B Diesel Tractor (pictured, left) is a powerful and highly maneuverable tractor designed for high performance in vineyards, orchards, hops and other narrow applications, boasting a new narrower design with heightened PTO horsepower for heavy-duty work. Measuring just 48 inches from the outer rim of one rear tire to the other, this tractor allows you in and out of close quarters. Newly designed round fenders protect branches and vines from damage. Despite its narrowness, the semi-flat deck and hanging pedals provide ample leg room with comfort. Its levers are positioned for easier reach, so that operation is simple and comfortable, even though the tractor is narrow.
A Foldable Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) is standard for the M8200DTN-B. It may be temporarily folded down without tools so that the tractor may pass under areas with height constraints, such as doorways or low branches.
Keep the noise and vibration down. The Kubota M-Series tractor engines have been designed to be some of the smoothest and quietest available today. Because the newly adopted dynamic balancers have been built into the crankcase, both vertical and horizontal secondary vibrations are minimized.
Hydraulic Shuttle Transmission (M6800 only).
With the newly developed Hydraulic Shuttle Transmission, shifting between forward and reverse can now be achieved smoothly and quickly, without the need to depress the clutch pedal. This will increase productivity especially when using loaders. For added convenience, the hydraulic shuttle lever is located within easy reach on the steering column. The main shift synchronized four speeds, in combination with the high/low range speeds, allow a reliable transmission range of 8F/8R. Faster travel speeds decrease transtport time, increasing efficiency. Note too, the optional creep speed kit makes it 12F/12R (field installed option).
Work efficiently.
Pulling, lifting, cutting, hay baling; your Kubota saves you time by making quick work of the toughest job. The Kubota M-Series offers longevity and smooth operation with an independent 540 rpm PTO with a hydraulically actuated wet-type PTO clutch (540/1000 rpm PTO is optional on the M8200/9000). Self-modulating engagement with a light touch means implements like a rear cutter engage smoothly. The PTO brake engages when the clutch is shut off and securely hold the PTO shaft. The independent-type PTO clutch can be engaged or disengaged without depressing the clutch pedal, regardless of whether the tractor is stationary or moving. To aid implement hook-up, the PTO shaft can turn sixty degrees with the engine shut off. A flip-up PTO cover ensures easy access to the PTO shaft.

The category I & II (M6800) and category II (M8200/9000) 3-point hitch provides fast, simple attachment of rear-mounted implements. The crank-type lift rod and telescopic stabilizers allow simple implement hook-up and adjustment. Lift capacity is as much as 3310 pounds on M6800 and 4630 pounds on M8200/9000 at 24" behind the lift point.

Thanks to Kubota's bevel gear 4WD system, the turning radius is comparable to that of a 2WD. As well as allowing exceptional mobility in tight areas, the bevel gear system allows smooth power transfer to the wheels at all angles. All gears are hermetically sealed in oil to improve durability.
When wheel slippage occurs, the rear differential lock pedal can be engaged easily. It immediately activates both rear wheels. 4WD models also include a similarly easy-to-reach front differential lock pedal, which can be operated independently from the rear differential lock. The result is positive, slip-free traction.
Easy Rider.
Kubota's hydrostatic power steering, while assuming the burden of heavy work, provides smooth, responsive steering. Power assist is enough even when the vehicle is stationary.
The semi-flat deck was ergonomically designed to maximize operator comfort. The deck is spacious enough to allow comfort and freedom of movement. ISO (Isolated)-mounting with rubber mat also helps to decrease operator fatigue by reducing noise and vibration, even after long hours on the job.
The popular M6800/M8200/M9000 tractors are now available with a cab, promising maximum comfort for such applications as dusty hay work, even during hot summers and cold winters. (The M6800 offers a cab option which is new for 2000!)
Thanks to a large overall glass area and frameless doors, this cab offers excellent visibility. Side windows may be opened, as can the hatch-back type rear window. The bottom-hinge front wiper also helps improve visibility.
Thanks to the dual-level air conditioning system, it's possible to cool your upper body while simultaneously warming your feet. An adjustable deluxe seat provides formed cushions, armrests, reclining seat back and suspension system. The cabs are ergonomically designed for maximum productivity; all operational levers, including the main shift lever, are conveniently located to the side of the seat, within easy reach. Standard and optional equipment include front windshield wiper and washer, two front working lights, interior lamp, cigarette lighter, left external mirror, sun visor, ashtray, two safety flashers, two tail lights, cup holder, radio cassette player, rear wiper and washer, and two rear working lights.

The deluxe seat on the M-Series has been designed for comfort. Features include formed cushions, armrests and adjustable suspension. It is adjustable for and aft, and for height, as well. A retractable seat belt offers a comforting measure of safety.

A foldable Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) is standard for these models. It can be folded down without tools temporarily so that the tractor can more easily pass under doorways or low branches. (For operator safety, the ROPS should always be placed in the upright position during normal operation and the seat belt fastened.)
