Large engine. Powerful and reliable. Kubota's V1505 4-cylinder engine puts out 27.5 horsepower at 2,300 rpm. It's so fuel-efficient, one full tank allows 10 continuous hours of excavator work.
Operating weight and specs compare to machines one class larger. For greater power and stability that's comparable to a 3-ton class excavator, the KX71-3's operating weight is a hefty 6,305 lbs., with track and track shoe widths being 5'1" and 12" respectively. Although it can compare with the 3-ton class, its overall width has been kept under
5', allowing it to fit through narrow openings.
Increased bucket and arm breakout force. The KX71-3 presents you with the deepest digging depth of any compact excavator in its class. Even with its long arm, the KX71-3 generates the most arm (3,285 lbs.) breakout force and Bucket (6,350 lbs.) to give you an amazingly efficient excavator performance.
Fits in tighter places.
The KX71-3 tail swing overhang is only 18”. It’s even easier to avoid obstacles that could result in damage to the machine, opening opportunities to more job sites.
Two Pattern Selection System (TPSS). The TPSS selection lever allows the operator to easily choose between ISO and SAE operating patterns. Perfect for companies, municipalities or rental yards where multiple operators are common. TPSS maintains productivity for large excavators or backhoe operators.
ROPS/FOPS Canopy and Cab. Our larger cab offers maximum comfort to keep operating at your peak longer. You receive more foot and leg room, an adjustable deluxe suspension seat with headrest, and plenty of visibility. Plus, both cab and canopy models offer the protection of ROPS/FOPS certification.
