Kubota Diesel Engine
Kubota diesel engines are known for their durability, high performance, energy efficiency and reliability. Kubota diesels offer many advantages over gasoline engines, such as 30% more fuel efficiency, higher torque, fewer emissions and quieter operation, among others. Kubota engines can aggressively take on heavy mowing jobs for extended periods. And, whether it's Kubota's 21, 26 or 31 horsepower engine, it will exceed the high expectations of the commercial landscaper.
Dual-Element Air Cleaner
Kubota's ZD-300 series mowers come equipped with a dual-element air cleaner which features a vacuum sensor to monitor intake and help prevent clogging. This makes it easy to keep the mower clean and running smoothly.
Large Fuel Tank
Kubota has increased the fuel capacity for the ZD-300 series to 11.9 gallons by including two fuel tanks. This allows the operator to work longer and more efficiently without stopping to refuel. This feature is also especially handy for those big jobs.
Large Radiator
The radiator on the ZD-300 mower is built to improve cooling performance and prevent the engine from overheating.
Durability
Kubota's new high-capacity transmission system makes the ZD-300 series zero-turn mowers exceptionally durable. Extremely reliable thanks to the new Kubota integral-type HST transmission system, these mowers are designed with strong components and the high capacity an HST system needs to assure outstanding commercial mowing performance and productivity.
HST Transmission
With an increased HST capacity of 120%, and a 30% increase in hydraulic clutch transfer capacity, Kubota's HST system optimizes performance to achieve maximum results. It is regulated by a new external, gear hydraulic charge pump for smoother control, quieter operation, and quicker overall response. Kubota's HST transmission system will last longer, run more reliably, and perform to a higher standard.

PTO Clutch
Thanks to a wear-resistant, wet-type, multi-disk, hydraulic PTO clutch, the machine will work longer, but not harder. That's because it smoothly transfers power with maximum efficiency. For safety, the PTO clutch is also equipped with an internal brake, which stops the mower blades quickly after disengagement.
Durability
Kubota's HST transmission system is comprised of high-strength components for exceptional durability. With a copper metal cylinder block, a stronger rear tire axle, and a sturdy, lightweight casting axle cover, the HST system is designed and built to last a long time.
Semi-Pneumatic (flat-free) Front Caster Tires (Standard with ZD326 and ZD331 models)
The ZD-300's flat-free caster tires were specifically designed to absorb impacts with the rigidity of their structural thickness. This feature enables mowing operations to continue without the worry of downtime from flat tires.
Shaft Drive
No belts. No pulleys. The direct transfer of power from the shaft drive is smooth. Plus Kubota's shaft drive's low maintenance operation makes it the most dependable choice.

Operator Platform
The ZD-300's comfortable operator platform boasts a wide array of features designed to make work easier. Wider control levers and a full-flat operator platform allow greater legroom; the angled panel helps to prevent glare for easier indicator and control viewing. In addition, the ZD-300 offers an ergonomic, 4-control adjustable seat to prevent fatigue and a conveniently placed cup holder so you can quench your thirst on the job.
Full-Flat Operator Deck
The wider full-flat deck offers more legroom and improved comfort. With no humps to straddle, your feet can remain free of obstacles.
Adjustable Levers
The angle of the speed control levers can be shifted by 19 degrees forward and backward, and their height can be increased or decreased by an inch, giving you more legroom, better reach and increased comfort. Even the grip size is larger to reduce fatigue.
Front Cover
With a durable new steel cover to protect the front of the mower, as well as the maintenance lift, the ZD-300 mower will be less susceptible to damage during truck loading and unloading.
Panel
With a new, ergonomically angled control panel, you'll have an improved view of and easier access to the controls and indicators, including speed controls, fuel and oil gauges, the all-new 1/4" cutting height adjustment dial, the locking PTO lever and more.
Parking Brake (hands-free)
Parking your mower doesn't need to be a multi-step process. With the ZD-300, you don't need separate levers or special switches; you only need to depress a simple pedal. It's conveniently placed directly in front of you on the angled footboard for easy access.
High-Back Deluxe Suspension Seat
Outstanding comfort is what you'll feel with Kubota's standard deluxe link-type suspension seat with adjustable armrests. The extra-wide seat features weight adjustment, adjustable armrests, and much more to give the operator a custom fit.
Lumbar Support
A day of hard work won't be hard on your back. Thanks to the 3 position lumbar support offered by the ZD-300, your back will get all the support it needs.
Suspension Seat Adjustment Lever
There's no need to get up to make changes to your seat's suspension strength -- you simply reach down in front of you and pull the convenient lever to make adjustments while you're working.
Reclining Dial
Lean back and get to work in the ZD-300's reclining seat. Just reach to the side and turn the handy reclining dial to adjust your seat to the perfect position.
Maintenance
Kubota has made maintenance of the ZD-300 series zero-turn mower unbelievably simple. Thanks to a unique maintenance lift system, a tilt-up seat for quick and thorough access to the HST, and a new maintenance hatch on the full-flat platform for easy access to the PTO shaft, work can be completed on every key component without difficulty.
Easy Maintenance
Maintenance has never been so easy. For interior maintenance, the sturdy seat panel is simply lifted up for clear access and an unobstructed view. By opening the hood, it's easy to perform routine maintenance, like adding oil, in mere seconds. Plus, there's a new maintenance hatch on the full-flat platform, with a built-in storage pocket, for easy access to the upper mower, gearbox case and universal joint parts. It's a snap to access the mower, HST, and engine.
Radiator Screen
Kubota has now integrated the radiator screen into the hood for better sealing performance and less likelihood of grass clippings finding their way inside the screen.
Air Cleaner Indicator
The ZD-300 features an air cleaner indicator that indicates when it's time to change or clean the filter, and help maintain maximum airflow capacity.
Maintenance Lift
For routine maintenance underneath the mower, Kubota's unique two-pin, tilt-up, lift feature allows the front of the ZD-300 to be easily raised without having to remove the mid-mount mower. The system includes locks for the front tires to ensure safety. It's like having a built-in jack right there when you need it.
Engine Coolant Alert
The ZD-300 emits a warning alert to indicate when engine coolant temperatures run too high. It's another practical feature that helps keep this commercial mower running smoothly.

Deep Mower Deck
Kubota's extra-deep, 6.5 inch (6 inches on 54" deck), fabricated mower deck design allows for faster cutting -- even in tall, thick, and wet grass. The discharge chute is 27% wider, to dispense clippings more evenly across the ground.
Swivel Anti-Scalp Rollers
To prevent unsightly turf damage, Kubota has equipped the 72" and 60" mower decks with independently functioning anti-scalp rollers that rotate a full 360 degrees.
New Blade
The ZD-300 features a new blade design that generates an ideal vacuum and straightens grass during cutting. Combined with a deep mower deck for expanded clipping capacity, the new blade provides a higher quality, beautiful-looking cut.
Spindle Bearings and Pulleys
Kubota has improved the durability of the mower pulley holder bearings to provide maximum strength and support.
Side-Discharge System: Anti-Overflow System
Kubota has enhanced the edges of the mower deck to reduce grass spillage and help keep lawns tidy, particularly in dry conditions.
New Baffle Design
The ZD-300's new baffle design improves air flow to discharge grass clippings, optimizing cutting performance.
Flexible Discharge Chute

Hands-Free Hydraulic Deck Lift
Kubota's advanced hydraulic deck lift pedal system allows the operator to easily raise and lower the deck with foot pedals, so easy access and quick response is never a problem.
Large Diameter Rear Tires
The ZD-300 features large diameter, sturdy rear tires for improved stability, durability and handling. The ZD331, ZD326 and the ZD321 with 60" mower deck come standard with big 26x12.0-12 tries, while the ZD321 with 54" mower deck is equipped with 26x10.5-12 tires.
1/4" Increment Cutting Height Adjustment
Cutting height can be easily changed, from 1" to 5" in 1/4" increments, with the 1/4" adjustment dial. Located conveniently on the control panel, the adjustment dial is easily accessed to increase or decrease cutting height.
Mower Lift Link
The ZD-300 mowers feature stronger lift link components, including an enhanced lift shaft, a thicker lift arm, and a wider shaft diameter.

New ZD-300 Mulching System
The deep mower deck of the Kubota ZD-300 is perfect for mulching, even on thick grass. A Kubota original flow plate has been added to the closed system design to optimize airflow and facilitate repeated cutting. The mulching blades are designed to provide an extra-fine cut to leave a beautiful finish.
New Mulching Blades
Forged from high quality steel, Kubota's new ZD-300 mulching blades are incredibly sharp and hold their razor-like edges longer.
"Catch All" Grass Catcher
The blower forces clippings into a large, 12.2-bushel hopper, allowing the operator to mow longer over a larger area without stopping as often to empty clippings. For the quick removal of grass clippings, the hopper lid is simply unlocked and the bag slides out.
Front Blade
The front blade has a quick-hitch design and hydraulic lift. It also features a bolt-on, replaceable cutting edge for light-duty snow, slush, gravel or dirt moving.
Work Lights
Mounted mid-height on the ROPS, durable work lights are included to assist in safe driving in the dark and increase visibility on the work site.
